Resources

The following resources are ones that I find very useful and use myself on a regular basis. However in the interests of full disclosure, many of the companies listed here have “affiliate programs” which means they will pay me a referral fee if you decide to buy their product through the link on this page.

I should point out that my reputation is far more valuable to me than they few dollars in referral fees these companies will pay. The only companies I feature on my website are ones I believe in myself. For each and every one of these, I was a customer first. I bought their product (or subscribed to it), was impressed with it, discovered they had an affiliate program, and decided to put a link up on this page. Not the other way around. (Just for the record.)

  • Finviz Financial Visualizations – Financial stock (and ETF) screening and charting website. I use their “Elite” membership and love it. However, their free basic service is really quite excellent as well. Check out the “Screener” functionality. It’s probably the best one I’ve seen recently anywhere online. Love it. (By the way, I’m a bit of a screener-tool “junkie.” If you know of a better tool, let me know. I’d love to check it out and feature it. Thanks!)

  • Stansberry & Associates Investment Research – This isn’t an affiliate link, but I wish it was. I’d love to earn a referral fee from these guys, because their product is excellent. I have subscribed to a number of their newsletters, including some of their expensive premium ones. In addition to being very profitable, they have been HUGELY educational. Even their low-end or free updates are incredibly informative. Bear in mind they are in the business of selling newsletters, so you will receive some pitches to buy higher-end subscriptions. Don’t let that turn you off. The education you’ll get here will be worth thousands. Maybe millions.

  • Casey Research – This is another fantastic source for trading and investing ideas and knowledge. I am also a subscriber to a number of publications from Casey Research. In this case, most of my subscriptions are the less expensive ones, however they are every bit as informative and educational as the Stansberry ones. I have even met one of their better-known writers and chatted with him in person. These guys are cutting-edge knowledgeable and their newsletters and updates are required reading if you’re serious about preserving and growing your wealth.
